Meet Khatira Haidari, a 2024 graduate of The French Beauty Academy’s Adelaide campus, where she completed The Future of Beauty program. Passionate about making people feel confident and beautiful, Khatira has always been driven by her love for skin and body care, finding joy in helping clients achieve radiant skin and overall wellness. Her enthusiasm for learning from experienced educators and working with diverse clients led her to choose The French Beauty Academy, where she honed her skills with both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice.

Throughout her time at The French, Khatira created many lasting memories, with a standout being the annual 5k run event supporting survivors of sex trafficking. Reflecting on her experience, she fondly remembers her friends, educators, and the events that shaped her journey. Khatira’s education empowered her with the skills and confidence to land her first job in a spa just a week after graduating, and she is proud to work alongside fellow French graduates, united by their shared training and passion for beauty.

As she continues to advance in her career, Khatira is excited by the constant innovations in the beauty industry and remains committed to learning, growing, and mentoring others.

What sparked your interest in pursuing a career in beauty therapy? Was there a specific moment or experience that inspired you?

I enjoy making people feel confident and beautiful. I am passionate for skin and body care, feel happy to help others achieve, healthy, radiant skin and overall wellness. I appreciate the opportunity to work with divers clients and learn about their unique needs.

What was your main motivation to choose to study at The French Beauty Academy? What was it that drew you to study here?

I chose The French beauty Academy because it is well know for teaching beauty skills really well. I liked that they teach both the theory and the hands on practice and that they focus on high standards techniques. I wanted to learn from experienced teachers and be around others who love beauty as much as I do.

Do you remember your Orientation week? Can you share your experience or how you felt on those first few days/weeks.

The first week I had different feelings. I was curious about new classes and teachers. Nervous about making friends , overwhelmed by all new information and schedules.

Reflecting on your time at The French, can you share a standout moment or memory?

The French beauty academy organise different events every year. One of the event is the 5k run. Every one in the academy wear pink to remember girls who were hurt or died by sex trafficking and support those who are still suffering . We spread the word about the 5k run event outside the academy and people generously donated money to support the cause.

What do you miss most about The French?

I miss my friends and good times with classmates and educators. I miss learning new skills and practicing on each others. And Participating on different events. 

Did you have a favourite subject or Educator at The French? Why/What did you love most about it?

I had a wonderful experience at the French beauty academy with amazing educators who made learning fun and easy. I enjoyed a wide range of subjects from makeup learning about different techniques and products.

Skincare I learned about how to take care of different skin types.And in body care discovering ways to pamper and nourish the body.In service excellence I learned how to provide exceptional customer service.

In what ways did The French help you develop personally and professionally?

The French beauty Academy helped me grow as a person and prepared me for a successful beauty career.

Was there an invaluable lesson or any advice you received from The French that has stuck with you and continues to inspire you?

Believe in yourself and your abilities. Never stop learning and growing. And being client focused is the key to success.

How easy was it for you to gain work after graduating? Tell me about your first career ‘break’ in beauty?

Right after graduation I applied for a job at a spa, and got hired just a week later. I was so excited to start working as a beauty therapist and putting my skills to use in a real spa setting.

How are French graduates perceived in the industry? Did your employer know who The French Beauty Academy was?

The French students are in high demand. My employer knew and trusted The French Beauty Academy brand. I am proud to work alongside my three colleagues who all graduated from The French Beauty Academy. We share a common training and expertise in beauty.

With innovations and trends constantly evolving, what aspect of working in the beauty industry excites you the most right now?

It’s a great time to be in beauty with innovation and focus on confidence and self love.
