Vet In Schools Program
SHB20121 CERTIFICATE II IN RETAIL COSMETICS
Students can take their first steps into the world of beauty and cosmetic retail at The French. This qualification provides the knowledge and hands on skills to work as a retail sales consultant in the beauty industry. Students advance their employment opportunities or give themselves that head start into furthering their career and education into the world of beauty, retail and wellness.
The course is timetabled over 35 weeks, one day per week and follows the Queensland secondary school term dates. Hours are 9 am to 3 pm.

The French has partnered with the leaders of the beauty therapy and dermal industries to develop a highly practical course, focused on leading skin technologies and treatments relevant to the beauty jobs of today and tomorrow. The course ensures students have the highest standard of currency and industry readiness and flexibility to tailor their studies to meet their specific career goals.
This dual qualification combines the practical skills and theoretical knowledge required to be an exceptional beauty therapist with the all important business of beauty understandings, essential to secure management positions with leading spas or establish your own thriving beauty business!
With additional curriculum focus on specific areas students are able to specialise in skin therapy, laser hair reduction, bridal beauty or salon classics, allowing them to fast track their beauty career and increase their suitability to the current beauty job landscape, preparing them for a wide array of beauty jobs.

SHB20121 CERTIFICATE II IN RETAIL COSMETICS
VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING (VET)
Students can complete a nationally recognised vocational qualification and a senior school certificate at the same time – developing employability and industry-specific skills. They can go directly into employment or receive credit towards further vocational training.

Look and Learn Style Beauty Tutorials presented by French Student Advisors
The French has developed a series of look and learn beauty tutorials specifically designed to educate students on skincare, presentation as well as basic career preparation tips, that we are able to deliver directly to your students in school.
From dealing with teenage skin through to natural foundation matching and dressing to impress for interviews, these tutorials are suitable not just for students interested in a career in beauty.
They are offered free of charge and can be coordinated to help fill a gap in your teaching or careers information schedule.

We invite school group visits at our 3 campus locations, where your students can experience exactly what a day in the life of a Frenchie involves!
Students are immersed in our student life through a variety of sessions specifically designed to inform and inspire their future career opportunities.
From understanding the scope of the beauty, spa and wellness industries and pathways available through to student speakers, participation in a look and learn makeup workshop and experiencing a beauty treatment from one of our aspiring beauty therapists, your students will leave with an understanding if a career in this industry is for them.

Our Student Advisors can meet one on one with students at any of our three campuses (Brisbane, Gold Coast and Adelaide) or virtually if this is more suitable.
During these sessions Student Advisors complete tours of our campus and training facilities, share insights and information of career pathways within the beauty industry, course and payment information as well as the different ways students can study.

Our short courses suit every skill level and allow you to study after hours. Beginners with an interest in beauty can take the very first steps in industry and explore their passion. These short courses are designed to get you up and running upon completed.
Each course includes a tailored professional kit full of all the desired tools and equipment to enable you to begin putting your new skills into motion – allowing you to start your beauty freelance business right away.
